In fact, the HTML was so fucked up, that when I wrote up this update in the same fashion our Content Management system caught fire and almost took down all of Something Awful, as well as websites neighboring us geographically. Case in point: Today's ALOD made me wonder if anyone's ever set fire to anything with poor web design.
