We spun through the depths of the river of the dead, eventually coming to a rest far downstream.

An advance scout confirmed that the beach was clear of threats.

We thrashed out of the cold water...

...and collected our thoughts on the shoreline.

Eager to conquer this new world as we had our old, we struck out, spear-first, into a great unknown.
