Astrophysicist and official science spokesman Neil deGrasse Tyson recently took time out from appearing in Facebook image macros to make a series of tweets criticizing the accuracy of space disaster film Gravity. Fans of the falling-through-space-junk movie got pretty upset with Tyson, but the science maven was undeterred. In fact, Tyson doubled down and tweeted out a number of factual errors in Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills.
After years of being misunderstood, I had hoped we finally had "our" story. I was wrong.
He had a yellow inflatable tube around his waist, the kind with a comical duck head. There was a tiny fish in one of his hands, and a trident in the other. In the background a squirrel wearing shades was water skiing.
For fans of meaningless awards, these awards are extra meaningless.
