Our children also must be made aware that, while they are certainly living in an overly shoe-obsessed society, that it's OK to go barefoot with a little common sense. They should be armed to deal with the myths and misinformation that others will throw at them.

I really don't want to think that this is your everyday boring ole foot fetish website. It probably isn't, just because of all the detailed attention it presents in its arguments for barefoot children. Medical research over the past 70 years, barefooted people as presented in pop culture & the media, and the advertising budgets for every major shoe company in the world. At the same time, looking at the way the pro-shoeless information is presented, the author seems to look at his ideal world in a very rational manner:

"Do we mean barefoot all the time? .... Absolutely not!! There are many circumstances where shoes instead of bare feet are definitely advisable. Dependent on climate and the kind of place you live, it is possible to go safely and happily barefoot between 70% and 95% of the time. The facts bear this out."
Still, there is an awful lot of information on why you should let your children (not necessarily YOU, the adult) go barefoot. Artwork dedicated to barefooted children. A list of schools that allow for children to go barefoot. The joys of watching kids be barefoot. Maybe it's dawned on you now: unshod.org is probably a totally free, memberless information database for pedophiles with foot fetishes. Thanks, Internet.
