Susie Day

Young-adult novels aren't usually formatted as blog entries, for much the same reason books for toddlers don't consist of baby-talk gibberish. However, Susie Day crafted her "totally lolarious" abomination Big Woo! entirely out of fictional online correspondence. She isn't the first author to try this dubious approach, and rivals such as Lauren Myracle establish a daunting level of lameness. However, Day's page, decorated with lolcats and populated with her characters' Bebo profiles, crowns her queen of this intellectually bankrupt realm. The profiles read like an adult performing a terrible teenager impersonation, which is the inevitable result of any chatspeak book, unless the adult in question is spectacularly retarded.
