Was very surprised to feel a sharp pain when I put it on. I don't remember much of what happened next, but I guess I fell asleep and had to be carried off the flight when it landed. I don't want to remove the kollar now, because it seems to be holding my neck together. Guess it's a good thing I put it on when I did, otherwise I might be dead.

Hi. I had high hopes for this neck pillow since I travel a lot. I was very disappointed to learn that once it is attached it cannot be removed. The sharp barbs ensure that the throat and jugular will be fatally slashed should removal be attempted. Would have preferred a warning before I put it on.

It's very comfortable otherwise, but extremely restrictive when I am not trying to relax on a plane. Hello, I'm not Tom Hanks in the movie "The Terminal." I don't live on an airplane!

A life saver! I don't know how many trips have been ruined by a sore neck after a long flight. I was very startled to learn that it is impossible to remove this pillow without dying, but I'd rather suffer a loss of mobility than endure another stiff neck again.

Perfect gift for a frequent flyer.

Pet owners need to beware. Once you put this on, any dogs you come in contact with will start barking themselves silly at you. We had to get rid of our beloved dog after he barked so much he caused permanent damage to this throat.

I am a little regretful I didn't get item CDA101 instead, since it is far more compact and does not appear to permanently graft itself to the wearer / irritate dogs. I also cannot turn my neck which makes it hard to look at ladies.

I recommend you find a better neck collar.

Pros: Extremely comfortable memory foam support helps you relax on long trips.
Cons: Sharp hooks inside cushion dig into neck and become locked around jugular. Thankfully, the hooks are coated with a numbing agent, so you won't feel much pain 24 hours after you put it on.

All and all an excellent travel pillow.

We got this one for our dad who travels a lot. He was delighted to try it on after unwrapping it, but horrified when he started feeling sharp pain upon trying to remove it. We all joined in to help, but then it started beeping frantically and wouldn't stop until we let go and backed away. We looked in the manual and found that it cannot be removed without killing the wearer. We're very disappointed SkymMall would sell such a product.

I will surely be reviewing all fine print before making any future purchases.

I am very, very disappointed in this product. As a tall man, I ordered two thinking I might need the extra neck support. Now I've got two of these things on, the top one of which is covering my lower jaw and preventing me from opening my mouth fully This has had a serious detrimental effect on my diet, and I've lost a lot of weight. You'd think these Kollars would loosen as a result, but somehow they know to keep digging in tighter.

Don't push your luck. One is definitely more than enough.

Word of warning to my fellow Komfort Kollar wearers: this does not double as a floatation device. In fact, stay out of water and don't get it wet. You could end up electrocuting yourself badly, and the claws seem to dig in a little deeper when you get it wet.

A real blemish in an otherwise great product.

I bought mine back in '05 and almost all the padding has worn off. I've now just got a tight metal collar jabbing into me and a lot of exposed wires, which aren't properly grounded. I wish there was a way to repair it or replace it, but I chose the Komfort Kollar and now I have to live with it, even if my life is a crumbling scrap of what it used to be.

I got this for my husband and I feel absolutely horrible. I think his kollar is defective, because it keeps broadcasting random number sequences in German, then it electrocutes him or randomly tightens on his neck. I can't count the number of times it's caused him to lose consciousness from pain or blood loss. How is such a deadly thing even allowed on airplanes?

Definitely won't be buying this model again.
