This is very wonderful advice, but I can't help but believe perhaps there's another solution... maybe one involving celery, nature's famous urine fighter?

I will try this recepy:
4 stalks of celery
Mix 2 tsps detergent
Add 2 cups of water
Let sit for 2 hrs. and bingo!

Yes, detergent and celery, clearly this cannot possibly fail! Other folks chime in with helpful solutions like "putting a big book on top of it" and mixing some ineffective household substance with another ineffective household substance, thereby resulting in something vaguely amazing. The fact that no two people can agree on a solution and the third suggests crapping on the piss proves how desperate and clueless mankind is in the battle against cat urine.
