Hello, and welcome to a new pseudo-feature here at AwfulVision. Are you pissed off when one mildly funny video (note: Chocolate Rain does not count) gets run into the fucking ground by a bunch of unfunny talentless reprobates and their countless "trubite"/"parody" videos? Me too!
This week, we take an enlightening look into the world of Der Untergang parodies.
What is Der Untergang? Well, as if it won't be incredibly obvious by the time you get to the end of this page, Der Untergang (The Downfall) is some German movie that depicts the last days of Europe's funnyman: Adolf Hitler.
Here's the scene we'll be looking at today:
And now, the parody that started it all:
What a mildly amusing video! Looks like it's time to...
I think I finally understand why Hitler shot himself.
He had a yellow inflatable tube around his waist, the kind with a comical duck head. There was a tiny fish in one of his hands, and a trident in the other. In the background a squirrel wearing shades was water skiing.
Republicans announce that all legislation must be voted on at 2am in a secret chamber, with no one but the lobbyists who write the bills seeing a single line of text. Democrats' Response: Stumbling around a field stepping on rakes, handles smashing them directly in their faces every single time.
For fans of meaningless awards, these awards are extra meaningless.
As you may have noticed, the most popular viral videos at any given time are amazingly banal, annoying, and cliched pieces of waste. It almost seems as if the internet naturally gravitates towards the worst possible Youtube and Google video selections. So it stands to reason that if the terrible videos become popular, then the unpopular videos must be awesome! We here at Something Awful present to you AwfulVision™, our own patented service dedicated to showcasing a wide selection of unpopular videos that apparently must be good! Welcome to Web 3.9.
