Copyrights or not, TSR cribbed from Cthulhu and came up with a couple of entries even weirder than the source material.

Zack: I'm pretty sure I drew this exact picture on an algebra test that I flunked.

Steve: This is based on a real thing.

Zack: No.

Steve: Yep, there's a giant amoeba they found at the bottom of the ocean.

Zack: This isn't an amoeba, is it? This is a 100-foot lake of slime that makes monsters constantly.

Steve: Yeah, based off the amoeba.

Zack: Where did you hear about this?

Steve: I don't remember. I think it might have been Keith had an email from them.

Zack: From the amoeba?

Steve: From the science place. The submarine. They were in the middle of it.

Zack: In the middle of what?

Steve: I don't know. Combat with the amoeba.

Zack: Fuck off, Steve.
