The E! Network decided to overlay its Golden Globes coverage with so-called "fun facts" about movies, TV-shows, and celebrities. One of these facts sent Twitter into a tizzy over its apparent insensitivity.
Thousands of angry fans Tweeted their outrage and hundreds more offered parody versions, but things only got stranger and darker as the broadcast continued with more celebrity medical information:
