Epilogue - The Bodice Heaves Again
"This is such an adventure!" Exclaimed Holly McClaren as she carried a tray of various ales out to the men waiting in the ships galley. Several of them patted her on the bottom as she passed, but she ignored them, secure in the fact that at night she usually slept with Captain Daring the Scarlet.
"I would love to accompany you on your next raid," she whispered to Daring the Scarlet as she placed his mug of ale on the table.
"You stay in the kitchen woman," he replied. "Adventure is no place for a lass like you. You cook up some pies and maybe some sort of turkey or something for when we return. Then you can attend to your womanly duties in the bedroom as well."
If anyone else had said this to her Holly would have probably slapped him, but he was just so darn attractive she couldn't resist a girlish giggle and a little extra sway to her hips as she walked away.
"Good Christ," muttered Daring the Scarlet to the men at his table. "If she does not shut that incessant yapping about adventure I want her strung up at dawn."
it's hard to shake the feeling that I've always got five stars in this Grand Theft Auto known as life.
Now, inexplicably, season three is looming over us like some sort of dome. Season one's plot asked whether or not the town could get out from under the dome. Apparently the answer was "no". Season two asked "I guess we're really stuck, huh?" and the answer was "yup".
