Despite their unrivaled box-office returns and their critical acclaim that hasn't translated into Oscars for whatever reason, superhero movies have generated surprising backlash in recent months. For example, forums poster Triticum Guzzler wrote "a good superhero movie would be a guy who puts on a mask at night and shoots everybody involved in making superhero movies," which might seem unreasonably harsh but is ironically the kind of cool, grim vigilante stance that superhero-movie fans recognize and respect! There's been a lot of Internet buzz about Paul Rudd: Ant Man, and sources say Captain America: The Winter Soldier is shaping up to be a monster, but the colossus on the long-range calendar is definitely Batman vs. Superman (2016). no they will not and FYAD sifted through all the hype surrounding this production to compile fun facts and fearless predictions!

Trivia: Due to Zack Snyder's insistence on creating a "darker, more realistic", superhero movie, the first draft of the script had Superman throwing Batman into the sun in the first ten minutes of the film. This draft was later filmed, produced, and released as the finished film.

Trivia: Zach Snyder's contract stipulated that after making this movie he would be allowed to work on a more personal film as his next project. A script he had written nearly a decade ago had been repeatedly shot down by the major studios for being too "niche." The overwhelming success of Batman vs. Superman (2016) finally convinced the studio heads at Warner Bros. that allowing Snyder to helm Thor 3 (2016) would indeed be a profitable venture.

Trivia: Most theatrical screenings were preceded by a trailer for the sequel, Batman and Superman (2018), featuring scenes of Batman and Superman teaming up to fight iconic comic book villains rather than each other, effectively robbing Batman vs. Superman (2016) of any narrative tension.
