Most costumed furries resemble mascots or Sesame Street characters, kind of cuddly as long as you don't think about them having sex. However, NorthFur's prosthetic masks plunge deep into the uncanny valley, making the wearers look like cursed humans imprisoned in animal bodies, their deadened eyes pleading for merciful death.
Because static photos can only be so creepy, NorthFur considerately provides a YouTube channel, where people entrapped in these hideous disguises make terrifying come-hither expressions and open their mouths soundlessly.
