Lady Raven's Rantings, submitted by Digital Sniper. Lady Raven is a 40-year-old self-proclaimed "gothic princess" who also happens to be a devout Christian and secessionist libertarian. In other words, she is the perfect addition to the blogosphere!

I was raised to respect other people, it's impolite to put other people down, that sort of thing, by my southron Mama. If we really believed and lived up to our ideals, we would automatically treat people with the respect they deserved even if they were different than us. So why do we need diversity training? Didn't our Mama do a good enough job?

Cultural Diversity is also not working very well, according to the Financial Times...and Harvard University's Robert Putnam. He sez that research teaches us that the more diverse a community is, the less likely the people who live there are to trust one another.

In other words, the ills of modern society in the South can be blamed on the great gentility of Southern culture being eroded by cultural diversity. All of those spooky negroes and shifty Mexicans around here are making it hard to be polite!
